Welcome to Finbarr Music Direct
Finbarr was established by James F Cullinan in 1971.
Better known as book publishers, the firm didn’t enter the CD field until 1991, more by default than design. Mr Cullinan was having difficulty in obtaining the music he collected in new medium.
Solution: find the source of trade supply himself and supply other collectors with the same music.
Initially specialising in fifties rock ‘n’ roll and sixties soul, in recent years Finbarr has widened its net to cover a multiplicity of differing musical styles. In particular, we have acquired significant stocks in the genres of Northern Soul & Rock & Roll, with many of the CDs having been deleted & not available elsewhere. 50’s & 60’s music of all types is available & our bulk purchasing means prices are extremely competitive.
Another development is the supply of DVDs of feature films and documentaries, in response to customer demand. We sell a wide range of titles, from old classics to the more recent releases. Westerns are always popular with our customers which is why we carry a large & varied stock of them.
Finbarr also publishes music books, one of which is 'Puttin' On The Style: The Lonnie Donegan Story' by renowned writer Spencer Leigh. This is among several titles covering different musical periods, genres & artists.
